OIL & GAS FIELD TECHNICIAN | Houston, TX

Technician installs, evaluates and services for fracturing equipment in home facility or on customer location or customer facility. Competent in speaking with customers on concerns with equipment and applies knowledge and experience to troubleshooting situations. Inspect, diagnose, repair the pump when it shows up to facility or at customer location. Provide service to customers by answering emergency service calls and technical support if needed.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Must understand and comply with all company safety rules and regulations.

  • Valid class C driver license to drive service trucks.

  • Must be willing to travel for work.

  • Able to identify, evaluate, install, and repair fluid ends and power end equipment on fracturing pumps.

  • Able to complete all documentation as required.

  • Work with minimal supervision.

  • Work assignments carried out to highest quality level.

  • Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

  • Knowledge of reading precise measuring tools in job spec.

  • Knowledge of handling torqueing equipment

  • Managing inventory for process of job requirements


Skills/Knowledge

  • High mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, thorough and comprehensive pre and post job reporting

  • Basic knowledge of computer, printer, software including Excel.

  • Knowledge of oil field drilling terminology and processes.

  • Knowledge of hydraulics, cement charts, cementation and casing accessories.

  • Knowledge of cement trucks, pressure charts, cementation tools and casing accessories.

Education

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Technical training or the equivalent preferred.

  • Must be eligible to legally work in the United States.

Experience

  • 3-4 years of experience.
