FIBER TECHNICIAN | Phoenix, AZ

Stetson Global is seeking several Fiber Technicians for a full-time positions at a number of locations in the U.S and Internationally. The Fiber technician will assemble, maintain, test, and repair fiber optic cables. They will assist with all aspects of fiber optic cables and related equipment within the Fiber Department. The ideal candidate could be a person that has worked with Fiber in Broadcast or worked in the telecommunications industry.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  •  Assemble, maintain, and repair fiber optic cables and connectors

  •  Perform testing of cable and equipment

  •  Test functionality of “house” fiber systems used with our equipment

  •  Skillset should include: Single-mode / Multi-mode / LC/SC connectors / Splicing / cleaning

Skills/Knowledge

  •  Experience with an OTDR reader

  •  Prefer SMPTE experience

  •  Associates or Technical Degree preferred

  •  Prior experience working with broadcast equipment and technology desired

  •  Some travel may be required to show sites
